Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations

Yasi is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Alliant International University in 2012. Having also trained in Mexico and India, she has a special place in her heart for clients bravely seeking healing treatment from immigration trauma and prejudice of any kind.

Yasi uses a competence-based approach to aid clients in processing major life events and to help build on their own strengths to succeed. She welcomes clients seeking support for a wide range of issues, including: domestic violence, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, male and female infertility, grief and loss, adolescent adjustment, LGBTQIA2S+, pre-marital counseling, couples’ core skill building, and family harmony. Yasi treats all ages of individuals, couples, and however many family members can fit into the room! She has clinical certificates in Latin American Family Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. She uses cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy, strategic therapy, art therapy, sand tray therapy for children, and narrative therapy in her work. Yasi offers treatment in English, Spanish and Farsi.

Yasi is married and is the proud mom of two rescue kittens, named Karate and Ninja. She loves foreign cuisine cook-offs with her brothers, board games, scary movies, any sport that you can do on a board, and recently moved back to the USA after six exciting years living abroad in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
